Congratulations are in order for the Texas Governor’s office of Economic Development and Tourism!   Texas was identified as “Best in Class” in the 2011 edition of DCI’s “Winning Strategies in Economic Development Marketing” study, which DCI released this week at the IEDC Annual Conference in Charlotte.

This is the sixth installment of the study, which is based on a survey of 322 corporate executives with site selection responsibilities. For the first time in 2011, 50+ location advisors included in the survey audience were asked to select the best regional and state economic development groups and the Texas Governor’s office was among those that rose to the top!

In his letter to the State of Texas, Andy Levine President/Chief Creative Officer stated “Texas also took the “best state for business” honors for the fifth time in a row!!! Texas rocks…”
